First Entry

Man, I just spent a good half hour trying to come out with a cool username and I'm beat ("You took half an hour to come up with a dorky username like 'unclechong'? My pet monkey could do that in 5 seconds!"). Yah, well, let's move on...

This is my first time / day blogging - how does one begin with this sort of thing? Should I write something ceremonial ("I hereby declare this blog to be under the possession of...") ? The reason why I'm starting a blog ("Suffering from a very bad flu in office, no mood to work")? Give a brief introduction of myself ("31 yrs, married with a 2-year old daughter, bespectacled, slowly losing sense of humour, not very bright, loves movies")? State my purpose / goal in life ("To find a purpose / goal in life")?

Or maybe I should just start by giving a brief account of what's going on today: Oil prices have hit an all-time high (US$60.60 a barrel!)! I'm suffering from a terrible bad flu and leaking like a tap. Would have gone to see a doctor if not for the fact that I've already applied for half-day leave. It's Jaslyn's birthday (2 years!) today and will be taking her out this afternoon to IMM. ("IMM?! What's at IMM?!" Why would anyone want to go to IMM to celebrate her birthday?") Well, there's an indoor playground there, and Jaslyn loves those stationary rides (where you insert a coin and the music will start and the ride starts moving) so we'll be letting her sit in one to her heart's content (but we won't be inserting any coins into the ride 'cos the music and motion terrifies her).

Have serious doubts about the lifespan of this blog 'cos I'm already running out of things to say...
